William T. Robertson, 88, of Washington, passed away on May 1, 2024. Mr. Robertson, son of the late William E. Robertson and Eleanor nee Young, was born on February 21, 1936, in St. Louis. He received his education from McKinley High School. On February 27, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Fraley in St. Louis.
William was a devoted husband and father, who never complained about anything. He loved to surprise his wife with vacations and always left a love note next to the coffee pot for her. Mr. Robertson enjoyed reading his bible and loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ellen Robertson; brother, Jerry Robertson; grandson, Jonathan; daughter-in-law, Jeanne M. Robertson and brother-in-law, Ted Smith.
Among his survivors are his children, Katherine Ray and husband Raymond of Plainfield, IN, William J. Robertson of Washington, Thomas A. Robertson and wife Patty of Washington, and Tina Alferman and husband Tracy of Washington; sister, Dorothy Smith; grandchildren, Katrina, Billy, Jeremy, Jessica, David, Audrey, Rodney, Tobie, Somer, Brian, Brandon, and Nikolaus; loved ones and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 9-11 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
