Wanda Marie Marquart, 70, of Moscow Mills, MO, passed away on June 16, 2025. Wanda, the daughter of the late Leander Marquart and Shirley nee Schmitt, was born on February 20, 1955 in Washington, MO. She attended St. Gertrude School and graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School.
The oldest of nine siblings, Wanda was the heart of a large and loving family. Her favorite nicknames were "Mom", "Grandma", "Sis" and "Aunt Wanda" and she embraced those roles with unconditional love. Her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her. Some of her hobbies throughout the years included making clothes, decorated cakes, flower arrangements, afghans, scarves, ornaments, plus countless other gifts-all made with love. She also enjoyed tending to her gardens and flower beds (which she had an eye for), canning homegrown foods, cooking amazing meals, hosting and attending family gatherings. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, simply enjoying each other's company and making memories.
She is survived by her children Dale Hoeft and wife Michele (nee Miller) of Newport, NC, Julie Smith and husband Jim of Troy, MO; grandkids Lani, Casey and Mason Hoeft of NC, Danny and Otto Waechter of Troy; step-grandkids Dane Smith and wife Taylor, Kenna, Kyla and Rayce Smith and one step great-grand, James Smith of Troy.
