Vivian M. Pues

Vivian M. Pues, 96 , of Washington, passed away on December 4, 2022. Mrs. Pues, daughter of the late Leo Arnsmeyer and Ludavicka nee Luechtefeld, was born on December 20, 1925 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On February 15, 1947, she was united in marriage to James W. Pues at the St. Agnes Church in St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ludavicka Arnsmeyer; husband, James Pues; two sons, Michael and Alan Pues; sister, Virginia Heidmann and husband Bondie and in-laws, Al Pues and wife Olga and Mabel and Joe Beringer.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Nancy Stevener and husband Orville of Washington; grandchildren, Jennifer Matchell and husband Mike, Laura Stiers and husband Clint, Sarah Pues, Kelly Rigg and husband Steve, Brian Stevener and wife Jamie, and Ben Pues; great-grandchildren, Guinevere Stevener, Paige Matchell, Gavin Matchell, Caleb Matchell, Emmett Matchell, Tinsley Stiers, and Owen Pues; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 9-10 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church.
