Vernita M. Fischer

Vernita M. Fischer, 86, of Washington, MO, passed away on October 10, 2023. Mrs. Fischer, daughter of the late Walfred Piira and Ann nee Staisil, was born on January 31, 1937 in South Range, MI. She received her education from Jefferson High School in Michigan. Vernita was united in marriage to Thomas C. Fischer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas C. Fischer; son, Thomas M. Fischer; sister-in-law, Sharon Piira and grandson, Timm Stroede.

Among her survivors are two children, Steve Stroede of Wisconsin and Ginger O’Briskie and dear friend Jim of Missouri; brother, Norm Piira of Wisconsin; sister, Carole Bengry and husband Louis Rosenthal of Michigan; grandchildren, Paul Stroede and wife Tammy of Wisconsin, Josh Kasper and wife Twyla of Missouri, Krista Kasper of Missouri, Erin O’Briskie of Missouri, Brian Fischer of Wisconsin, and Danny Fischer of Florida; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Vernita Fischer will be private.
