Theresa M. Mohesky

Theresa M. Mohesky, 80 , of Washington, passed away on June 14, 2022. Theresa, daughter of the late Gustave Garbs and Bertha nee Meyer, was born on June 29, 1941 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On July 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Harvey Mohesky at the St. Francis Borgia Church.

Theresa was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and loved to sing in the choir. She enjoyed walks on the riverfront trail and truly loved baby patrol. It brought a smile to her face every time she got to sing Happy Birthday to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Mohesky; siblings, Mary Holt, Eugene Garbs, Helen Kandlbinder, Ervin Garbs, Theon Garbs, and grandchild, Thomas Anthony Haines.

Among her survivors are her children, Gina and husband JD Haines of New Haven, Eric and wife Lisa Mohesky of Cumming, GA, Lisa and husband Tom Schulze of Union, Jeff and wife Marina Mohesky of Washington, Kristine and husband Michael Goddard of Clarksville, TN, Jason and wife Melody Mohesky of Glen Carbon, IL, Steven and wife Tracy Mohesky of Ballwin; siblings, Francis Garbs of Washington, Lillian Bockover of Washington, Gustave and Jenny Garbs of Washington, Bertha Becker of Washington, and Robert Garbs and wife Marita of Washington; grandchildren, Beth and Ryan Vedder, Alex and Nidia Haines, Leah Haines and Justin Schroeder, Reese and Ryan Mohesky, Samantha and Brian Struckmann, Lucas and Eli Schulze, Olivia and Derek Hymer, Callan, and Allison Mohesky, Morgan and Nicole Goddard, Harrison, Madelyn, and Andrew Mohesky, Ava, Vivian, and Max Mohesky; great grandchildren, Milla and Ewan Vedder, Augustus and Avett Struckmann, Travis, Justin, Riley, Jackson Schroeder, and Zander and Ezra Haines; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes School or Mercy Hospice.
