Shirley J. Hawkins

Shirley J. Hawkins,90, of New Haven, passed away on March 20, 2026. Mrs. Hawkins, daughter of the late August Fischer and Pauline nee Adams, was born on January 17, 1935, in Jonesburg, MO. She received her education from Montgomery City High School. In 1960, she was united in marriage to Charles Hawkins.

Shirley enjoyed reading, antique shopping, and participating in church activities. She also loved playing cards and dominoes with friends, which brought her much joy throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Hawkins, and daughter, Melanie Hawkins.

Among her survivors are her grandson, Brit Robinson of Washington, son-in-law, James Robinson and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 9-10 A.M. with a memorial service beginning at 10 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to Mount Pleasant Cemetery in High Hill.
