Shirley M. Buhr

Shirley M. Buhr, 91, of Washington, passed away on May 22, 2023. Mrs. Buhr, daughter of the late Henry Walde and Rose nee Reinsch, was born on May 22, 1932 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On January 30, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Buhr at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Shirley enjoyed playing golf with her husband and friends, reading and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald “Buck” Buhr; son, Marty Buhr; siblings, Charles Walde, Vernon Walde, Ramona Dyson, and great-grandson, Zackary Foster.

Among her survivors are four children, Shawna Maune and husband Douglas of Plano, TX, Kim Barnes and husband Dave of Atlanta, GA, Mitch Buhr and wife Rose of Washington, and Bradley Buhr and wife Paulette of Union; grandchildren, Mitch Buhr Jr., Derek Buhr, Tiffany Foster, Jacob Buhr, Jennifer Buhr, Lindsey McKay, Laura Barnes, Natalie Barnes, Ryan Maune, and Madison Maune; great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Francis Borgia Church.
