Shelly VonSeelen Obituary

With great sadness we announce the passing of Shelly (Holt) VonSeelen, 72, of Washington on October 22, 2022.   Shelly, daughter of the late Glennon (Glen) Ray Holt and Lora Mae Meyer, was born on September 9, 1950 in Washington. She graduated from Washington High School where she cheered for the WHS Blue Jays.   She waitressed for many years at Jim and Charlies Restaurant where she met the love of her life Bill VonSeelen and they were married on September 9, 1982. She finished her career in Real Estate.

She was beloved by many friends and was the matriarch of her family. She touched many lives and is forever in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Lora; husband, Bill; brother, Tyler Holt; sister, Kim Holt. 

Among her survivors are brother Tim Holt of Washington and Merry Holt of Arizona; step-mother, Laura Teter Holt of Arizona; two step-sons, Jason VonSeelen and wife Jaime of Wentzville and Nick VonSeelen and wife Leslie of Pacific; nieces: Megan and Madison Holt, and Melissa Wilson; nephews: Garrett Holt and wife Shannon and Nathan Holt and wife Meghann; great nephews: Joey, Joshua and Justin Wilson and Hayden Holt; great nieces Scotlyn Holt and Sophie Holt, eleven step-grandchildren and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, November 13th from 2 – 4 p.m. at American Legion in Washington, MO
