Sandra M. Vitt, 76, of Washington, passed away on February 8, 2024. Mrs. Vitt, daughter of the late William “Bob” Snodgrass and Naomi nee Schafferkoetter, was born on April 6, 1947, in Rolla. She received her education from Washington High School. On December 12, 1998, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Vitt. Sandra worked for Sporlan Valve for many years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Snodgrass; mother, Naomi Coulter; step-father, Elwood Coulter; sister, Christina Snodgrass; son, Jeffrey Buchheit and grandson, Ryan Buchheit.
Among her survivors are her husband, Jeffrey Vitt of Washington; three children, Regina Buchheit Tourville, Gary Buchheit and wife Jill, and Jason Pate and wife Michelle; stepdaughter, Katarina Paglusch and husband Steve; stepsons, Jeffrey Vitt Jr. and Jessi Vitt; siblings, Deborah Loyd and husband Dave and Donald Snodgrass; grandchildren, Emily Wilson and husband Josh, Sydney and Josh Lombardo, Amber Bade and husband Kent, Tyler Eversmeyer and husband Joel, Alyssa Edwards and husband Trelin, Brianna Pate, and Josh Heppermann and wife Nichole; special friends, Rosie Elbert, Rita Weers, and Ruth Willy; many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 3-5 p.m. at The Ridge Church in Villa Ridge. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
