Roger Carpenter Obituary

Roger D. Carpenter, 71 , of Leslie, passed away on June 3, 2022. Roger, son of the late Sterling Carpenter and Eileen nee Farrell, was born on November 6, 1950 in St. Ann, MO. He received his education from Lafayette High School. On May 5, 2000, he was united in marriage to Melinda Peer in Forsyth, MO.

Roger owned his own construction company for 15 years, and then became a boat captain and scuba instructor. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. But most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth Carpenter.

Among his survivors are his wife Melinda Carpenter of Leslie; six children, Bryan Carpenter and wife Melissa of Sullivan, Brenda Kubiak of New Haven, Brande Mauntel and husband Jason of New Haven, Rodger Carpenter and wife Jordan of Washington, Corey Carpenter and wife Jessica of Rosebud, and Andrew Carpenter and wife Beth of Branson; siblings, Mary Carpenter and Greg Carpenter, both of Rosebud; grandchildren, DJ, Brande, Jason, Kyra, Westley, Madi, Cameron, and Caden; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jameson; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Leslie.
