Robert F. Kohne, 81 , of Washington, passed away on November 3, 2021. Bob, son of the late Herman Kohne and his wife Hilda nee Altemeyer, was born on July 29, 1940 in Washington. He received his education from Washington High School. On May 1, 1965, he was united in marriage to Norma Hoelscher at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Bob was employed for many years at Mercy Hospital in Washington as a Maintenance Technician. After retiring from the hospital, he worked part time at the Washington Missourian and Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. He was a member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company for over 60 years.
Mr. Kohne was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Kohne and In-laws, Dolores Berg, Bob Steffens, and Darlene Ballmann and husband Charles.
Among his survivors are his two daughters, Lynn Alferman and husband Curt of Washington and Amy Steffens and husband Curt of Washington; siblings, Harold Kohne and wife Fran of Wallace, NC, Maurice Kohne and wife Nancy of Blue Springs, MO, Dennis Kohne and wife Jeanette of Berger, MO, and Carol Riegel and husband Harvey of Washington; six grandchildren, Jennifer Molitor and husband Travis, Megan Alferman, Brittany Krull and husband Josh, Herby Alferman and wife McKaela, Macie Steffens, and Ellie Steffens; six great-grandchildren, Regan and Ridley Molitor, Blake, Jasper, and Owen Krull, and Linux Alferman; In-laws, Wesley Berg Jr. and wife Cindy, Rosalie Feldman and husband Charles, David Hoelscher and wife Joann, Ken Hoelscher and wife Joyce, Mike Hoelscher and wife Linda, Bob Hoelscher and wife Jeanne, Linda Kriete and husband Charlie, Nancy Steffens, and Joannie Bleckman and husband Chuck; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 3-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 A.M. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Gertrude’s Church in Krakow. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Washington Volunteer Fire Company or St. Gertrude’s Church.
