Colonel Richard W. Marsden passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the age of 88, in Olivette, Missouri. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Richard was a proud United States Marine who served his country for 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and tennis.
Richard was a loving husband to June Marsden (nee Buescher) for 44 years, until her untimely death in 1999, and to Alcena Marsden (Jackson) for 22 years, who survives him. He is dearly loved and will be dearly missed by his children (Debbie (Mike), Richard (Denise), Linda), his grandchildren (Michael (Brianna), Kelly (Stefan), Britney, Kaleia), his great-grandchildren (Mareike, Hans, Tamara), his brother (Bud (Grace)), his sister (Betty Jane) and his late sister (Judy). Richard will also be missed by Alcena’s large family, including her children (Jim (Kelly), Kelly (Mickey), Dana (Dan), Kerry), grandchildren (Kenny, Neil, Brett, Darcy, Kris, Shannon, Jake, Katie, Dalton, Janelle), and great-grandchildren.
Rest in Peace, Dad.
