Peggy L. Miller

Peggy L. Miller, 72, of Washington, passed away on December 31, 2023. Mrs. Miller, daughter of the late Herbert Van Leer and Dorris nee Buth, was born on May 19, 1951, in Washington. She received her education from Union High School. On October 4, 1969, she was united in marriage to Robert W. Miller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Union.

The things she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandchildren and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert W. Miller and father-in-law, Wes Miller.

Among her survivors are two daughters, Amy Sanchez and husband Roman of Davie, FL and Julie Cowsert and husband Jeremy of Washington; two sisters, Judy Rivara and husband Dominick of Union and Patsy Klenke and husband Allen of Union; seven grandchildren, Kelsie and husband Brandon Johnson, Liana, Lynsie, Morgan, Alex, Macie, and Reis; mother-in-law, Billie Ruth Miller of Washington; brother-in-law, Bill Miller and wife Kathy of Washington; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the St. Peter’s U.C.C. in Washington. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House.
