Paul Douglas “Doug” Stevens, 70, of Washington, died on January 6, 2025. Mr. Stevens, son of the late Robert Stevens and Elizabeth nee Gruber, was born on November 30, 1954, in Granite City, IL. On September 3, 1988, he was united in marriage to Anna M. Fisher at the Northwest Christian Church in Decatur, IL.
Doug loved people and playing his guitar; he was a member of the Washington Missouri Blues Society. He enjoyed nature especially bird watching, photography and star gazing. He was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis baseball Cardinals. Above all, he loved his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Stevens.
Among his survivors are his wife, Anna M. Stevens of Washington; two siblings, Robert Stevens Jr. and wife Nina of Granite City, IL and Melinda Smith and husband John of Collinsville, IL; nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
No services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
