Paul E. Kopp

Paul E. Kopp, 88 , of Washington, passed away on December 1, 2022. Paul, son of the late Edward Kopp and Genevieve nee Sandbothe, was born on March 19, 1934 in Washington. He received his education from Ziegenmeyer School. On April 12, 1958, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Hilke at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Mr. Kopp served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 1121 and St. Francis Borgia Church.

Paul enjoyed many things in life, especially his grandkids. He liked playing the guitar, listening to music, going to dances, spending time with good friends, traveling, and trips to the casino.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane Kopp; siblings, Arnold Kandlbinder, Glennon Kopp, and Eugene Kopp; brother-in-law, Frank Kluesner and sister-in-laws, Pat Kopp and Theresa Kopp.

Among his survivors are ten children, David Kopp and wife Ann of Washington, John Kopp and significant other Amy Vollmer of Wentzville, Gerald Kopp of Washington, Jane Phipps and husband David of Wildwood, Ronald Kopp and wife Laura of Washington, Christine Harbison and husband Derrick of St. Clair, Theresa Racherbaumer and husband Rodney of Hermann, Robert Kopp and wife Ellen of Washington, Linda Maune and husband Eric of Washington, and Paulette Burrows and husband Donald of Rosebud; two siblings, Roland Kopp and wife Fran of Washington and Dorothy Kluesner of St. Peters; twenty one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; In-laws, Raymond Hilke, Sister Gabriela, Laura Moore and husband Charles, and Theola Kandlbinder; Godchildren, Collette Henderson, Jessica Phipps, and Elizabeth Bishop; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment, with full military honors will be held at the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church.
