Patricia Roman Obituary

Patti Ryan Roman, 72, of Washington, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Washington. Patti was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 2nd, 1952, to Charles and Mary (nee Hampl) Ryan, Patti attended St Patrick Grade School and in 1970 graduated High School in Stoneham, MA. She graduated from University of Southern California in 1974. Patti started her career working for CLEMCO Industries in San Francisco, CA. Her career lead her to international business with CLEMCO in Paris, France. She returned to the United States in 1976 and continued with CLEMCO International in San Francisco.

It was during a ski trip with one of her cousins to Utah that she met her husband-to-be on the slopes at Snowbird Ski Resort.  Patti and Jim were married in California in 1984. They moved to Washington, MO in 1991 when CLEMCO moved their world headquarters here. Patti received her Master's Degree in International Business from St Louis University in 2002.

Patti has participated in many local organizations. A Board member of the Four Rivers YMCA, a member of The Washington Lions Club, a Franklin County Master Gardener, a Downtown Washington Winefest Committee member, and 30 year participation in our Sister City Program with Marbach, Germany, to name a few.

Patti and Jim were avid travelers both domestic and abroad and shared a love for new foods and experiencing different countries worldwide.

Patti retired as Vice President of Marketing after a 43-year career with CLEMCO. She and Jim continued their travels to visit many friends made over the years in various countries. It was always a treat to experience regional foods and later try to emulate those dishes when they returned home to share with our foodie friends! (Patti, it should be noted, was the real cook in the family).

Patti was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Ryan.

Patti is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim. Her brother, Charles and wife Yoko of NJ, her sister Judy of MA, her two nieces Emi of MD, and Marie of CO and their families. Many nieces and nephews, and cousins and their families, and countless friends.
