Monica "Jane" Daugherty

Monica “Jane” Daugherty, 83, of Washington, passed away on November 6, 2019 in Washington. Mrs. Daugherty, daughter of the late John Huskey and his wife Cynthia NEE Boyer, was born November 11, 1935 in Cadet, MO. She received her education from Potosi High School. On October 22, 1960, she was united in marriage to James “Ron” Daugherty Sr. in St. Louis.

Among her survivors are three children, Ronda Alferman and husband Chris of New Haven, Jim Daugherty Jr. of Washington, and Judy Straatmann and husband Alex of Washington; brother, George Huskey of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Melissa Feldman and husband Ryan of Pacific, Christopher “Pip” Alferman and wife Meagan of Union, Jay Daugherty of Union, Luke Daugherty of Washington, Rebecca Daugherty of Washington, Taylor Straatmann of Boston, MA, and Madison Straatmann of Washington; three great-grandchildren, Penny Alferman, Lincoln Feldman, and Harper Feldman; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James “Ron” Daugherty Sr.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Immediately following the Mass, their will be a celebration of Jane’s life at the Knights of Columbus Hall in the lower lever. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
