Michael Leon Stahl, 67, of Washington, passed away on December 15, 2025. Michael, son of the late Theodore Stahl and Marva Jean nee Baker, was born on January 29, 1958, in Aurora, Colorado. He received his education from Washington High School, East Central College, Radio Broadcasting School, and the University of Missouri. Mr. Stahl served his country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force. Michael was a proud member of UA Local 562 Plumbers and Pipefitters, Earth City where he retired.
Michael loved music and sports. His trailblazing musical prowess introduced many new tunes to folks over the years. He was a passionate cardinal and Mizzou fan and his wardrobe was proof. He loved to run, competing in many half & full marathons and holds numerous track records. Mike was an adventurer and a great storyteller keeping us entertained. He was a caretaker, full of love for all people.
He was preceded in death by his parents; significant other Lenda Markowski, and sister Cynthia Stahl.
Among his survivors are his siblings Debra Stahl Sneed of Washington, Theodore Stahl and wife Joyce of Washington, Martha Stahl of Madison, WI, Catherine Scheuber and husband Rick of Denver, CO, Thomas Stahl of Camdenton, MO, Tamra Meyer-Stahl of New Haven, Edward Stahl and wife Anne of Washington, Joseph Stahl of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Michael’s life was short, but it was full, we will miss him beyond words.
A celebration of life will be held February 15, 2026, at the Hummingbird Club, Washington, MO from 3-7pm. Please join the family for a ceremony of life, music and dinner.
