Michael J. Lesko

Michael J. Lesko, 75, of Washington, passed away on June 30, 2023. Michael, son of the late John Lesko and Corinne Mathre, was born on February 22, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa. He received his education from Chaminade High School, then Washington University, (member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and pitched for the baseball team).  He earned his Master's Degree in Engineering Management from Missouri S&T in Rolla. On August 11, 1973, he was united in marriage to Jill Uhrmann at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Mike was employed for over 40 years as an engineer in the can industry, and paper products industry. He started his career as an Industrial Engineer, then became Manager of Technical Services Center for The Greif Corporation. He traveled widely and made many friends in the US and beyond. He has one patent. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife, Jill Lesko of Washington; children, Paul Lesko and wife Kimberly of Arnold, MO and Joanna Hanson and husband Kirk of Minooka, IL; two siblings, Paul Lesko of Georgia and Kathy Lesko of Tempe, Arizona; grandchildren, Jude Lesko, Charles Lesko, Dylan Champ, and Julian Hanson; loved ones and many friends.

Funeral Services for Michael Lesko will be private, as he donated his body to Washington University for Medical Research.
