He received his education from St Francis Borgia Grade School. On June 15, 1957, he was united in marriage to Doris Frankenberg at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Maurice began working at an early age setting pins at Saint Francis Borgia Bowling Alley. He then delivered bakery goods for Master Bakery. He and Doris created Hillermann and Roofing Insulation and had a successful business until he retired. During retirement he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, a good deal at Menards, and serving neck bones and Krauts to his friends, telling jokes, and playing some good pranks. Together he and Doris enjoyed their home at Lake of the Ozark and loved hosting many friends and family.
Maurice was a very generous man. A member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Knights, delivering Meals on Wheels for many years, and donated platelets until he was told he could no longer contribute.
