Mary Ann Strus

Mary Ann Strus, 77, of Washington, passed away on October 19, 2020. Mrs. Strus, daughter of the late John Konys and his wife Opal NEE Dowil, was born on April 2, 1943 in Washington. On August 1, 1975, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Strus.

She was preceded in death by  her parents; husband Kenneth Strus, and three brothers, John, James, and Paul Konys.

Among her survivors are two children Bonnie Young-Ritson and spouse Ronald Landen of Washington and David Young of Union; four siblings, Betty Sparling of Denver, CO, Wanda Konys of Washington, Lawrence Konys of Washington, and Catherine Trentmann of Washington; Grandchildren, Matthew Young and wife Kristen of Union, Justin Young of Union, Tiffany Hauther and husband Rodney of St. Clair, Andrea Breitenbach, Alexis Breitenbach, Taylor Ritson, and Paige Ritson, all of Washington; seven great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Ann Strus of Hawk Point; In-laws, Annette Konys of Columbia, Dolly Konys of Washington, DeeDee Konys of Pacific, and John Ritson Jr. of Washington; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 4-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church with interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church.
