Mary Washabaugh Obituary

Mary C. Washabaugh, nee Beasley ,88, of Washington, MO, departed this life Friday, January 1, 2021 in Washington, MO.

Mary was born June 15, 1932 in Suppy, AR the daughter of Martin V. Beasley and his wife Velma (Smithson) Beasley. She was raised in Jerseyville, IL.

On September 19, 1953, she was united in marriage to Craig Washabaugh in St. Louis, MO. They made their home in Ferguson, MO where one son and three daughters came to bless this marriage and later moved to Washington, MO.

She was a long-time employee of Hazel, INC/Enduro Binders, INC until her retirement.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Washington.

She was an avid bridge player and a member of two bridge clubs. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing a variety of beautiful roses. She was a member of the Washington Garden Club.

What meant most to her was time spent with family. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will forever live in their hearts.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Craig Washabaugh; sister, June Lund; brother, William Beasley, and grandson, Stephen Smith.

Among her survivors are her children, James Washabaugh and wife Sharon, Janet Hass and husband Keith, Joyce Brinkmann and husband Michael, and Judy Smith and husband Mark; brother, Jack Beasley; grandchildren, Jennifer Tapley, Steven Washabaugh, Eric Hass, Mark Hass, Michelle Kemp, Courtney Mann, Monica Jacquin, Sarah Sanders, Matthew Smith, Jeffery Smith, Thomas Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Paul Smith, and Emily Smith; great-grandchildren, Anna Tapley, Holly Washabaugh, Joseph Washabaugh, Rosie Washabaugh, Lena Kemp, Wesley Mann, Zachary Jacquin, and Maria Sanders; other relatives and friends.

A private funeral service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Presbyterian Church of Washington, MO.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Assistance Center of Washington, MO.

Arrangements were in the care of Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
