Mary Ellen Struebbe,84, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at home, on December 2, 2025. Mrs. Struebbe, daughter of the late Leonard Maune and Ellen nee Feldmann, was born on August 5, 1941, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia. On February 10, 1962, she was united in marriage to Dale Struebbe at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Washington.
Mrs. Struebbe found great joy in traveling, playing golf, and spending her winters as a snowbird in Yuma, Arizona. She cherished relaxing at her lake house, especially when surrounded by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Struebbe; daughter, Christine Sunderhuse and three siblings, Leroy Maune, Sue Schwoeppe, and Jan Voss.
Among her survivors are two daughters, Gail Bommarito of New Haven and Dana Buhlinger and husband Jeff of Gerald; sister Vicky Vaught of Sullivan; grandchildren, Melissa Thele and husband Jacob of Green Cove Springs, FL and Cody Halloran; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Xavier, and Kennedy Thele; In-laws, Margie Maune, Ralph Schwoeppe, and Glenn Voss; loved ones and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington, beginning at 12 p.m.
