Mary Lou Luecker, 81, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Washington, Missouri. She was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on October 29,1942, the daughter of the late Fred and Wilma (nee Jaeger) Maasen.
In her working career she held positions as a Medical Assistant, an EMT, Realtor and Business Owner of Landmark Appraisal Co. Mary Lou was a wonderful cook and her grandchildren treasured her special cakes and pies on their birthdays. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, and sharing her gift of hospitality.
Mary Lou enjoyed many travel adventures with Willard during their 29 years together. They were active members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Attending Bible study and cooking for church events brought her much joy. She was an avid sports fan and was an active participant cheering on her grandchildren at their many events.
Mary Lou is survived by her three sons, Wayne Baumstark (wife Judy), Keith Baumstark (wife Laurel), and Allen Baumstark (wife Linda); nine grandchildren; Ellen, Clinton, Ryan, Lauren, John Allen, Jonathan, Anna, Audrey, and Mattias; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives, and friends. Also surviving are two sisters Betty Bill (husband Wayne) and Katherine Loethen (husband Mark).
She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Luecker, her parents and two siblings, Patricia Oidtman (husband John) and Gary Maasen (wife Barbara).
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 9-11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, Missouri with a Memorial Service beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations are suggested to ABILITY DSFC Inc. or The Hope Ranch of Missouri.
