Mr. Marvin H. Maune, 79 of Washington, passed away on August 21, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis. Marvin, son of the late Raymond Maune and Agnes nee Aholt was born on October 17, 1940 in Washington. He received his education from the St. Francis Borgia Schools.
Mr. Maune retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was very devoted father and grandfather. Marvin was also a master woodworker and loved to travel. Marvin was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Marvin is survived by his beloved companion Anna Thiel of Washington; his daughters; Cheryl and husband Keith Rackers of Florissant, Donna and husband Bryan Williams of Coralville, IA and Angela and husband Jim Schmidt of Fenton; grandchildren; Joshua Rackers and wife Erin, Jacqueline and husband Scott Kernan, Timothy Rackers, Peter Rackers, Mary Agnes Rackers, Lucas Rackers, Ethan Rackers, Dakota Rackers, Ashlee and husband Steve Strubberg, Clara and husband Ralph Tayamora, Samantha Williams, Vivian Williams, Kyle Schmidt and Darren Schmidt; great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Elise and Deacon; siblings; Richard Maune and wife Joan, Mary Jo and husband Tom Wilding, Jeanne and husband Terry Sullentrup and Harold Maune and wife Babs, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with interment at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorials to masses are preferred.
The Maune family asks that anyone attending the visitation or mass wear a mask, and follow social distancing guidelines.
