Marti Desmond, 76, of Washington, passed away on January 26, 2026. Mrs. Desmond, daughter of the late Lester Bohle and Arline nee Wunderlich, was born on April 28, 1949, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On May 30, 1970, she was united in marriage to John Desmond at the St. Francis Borgia Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Doug Bohle; sister-in-law, Mary Flanagan and mother and father-in-law, Helen and James Desmond.
Among her survivors are her husband, John Desmond of Washington; two children, JJ Desmond and wife Nicole of Washington and Katie Pfotenhauer and husband Brian of Kirkwood; two siblings, Stan Bohle of Washington and Dianne Richardson and husband Jim of Washington; seven grandchildren, Eva and Jack Pfotenhauer, Brayden and Ian Desmond, and Cole, Olivia, and Elizabeth Reed; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Desmond and wife Diane, Dave Desmond and wife LaDonna, Kenneth Desmond and wife Lynda, and Mark Desmond; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Memorial Mass will begin at 12 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
