Mark A. Carter, 71 , of Washington, passed away on December 8, 2020. Mark, son of the late Marion Carter and his wife Hazel NEE Cummins, was born April 4, 1949 in Lebanon, IN. He served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Randy and Kenny Carter and two grandchildren, Zachary Carter and Brynlee Carter.
Among his survivors are three children, Christopher Carter and wife Shelia of Sikeston, Carmen Carter and wife Dusty of Washington, and Chad Carter and wife Jessie of Washington; grandchildren, Monica Carter and fiance Paden Cook, Natalie Turner, Keagen Carter, Julian Carter, and Amelia Carter; one great-grandchild, Carson Cook; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, with full military honors. Memorial donations can be made to the Brynlee Carter Foundation, 408 Kayla Ct., Washington, MO 63090.
