Marion F. McDonald, 90 , of Washington, passed away on April 13, 2022. Marion, daughter of the late Roman Brinker and Isabel nee Elbert, was born on April 10, 1932 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On February 14, 1952, she was united in marriage to James McDonald at the St. Francis Borgia Church.
Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she occupied much of her time planning for the big party every year, making ornaments and decorating gift bags for each and every person.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James “Mac” McDonald; two children, Todd McDonald and Maureen Michels and three siblings, Leroy Brinker, Esther Jansen, and Shirley Holtmeyer.
Among her survivors are her children, Mike McDonald and wife Theresa of Washington, Kathleen Alferman of Washington, Bryan McDonald and wife Lisa of Washington, and Molly Lynchard and husband Tim of Villa Ridge; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-granchildren; In-laws, Marie Hillermann, Mary Jo McDonald, and Roberta Brinker; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A memorial mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the St. Francis Borgia Church. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Grade School or the St. Francis Borgia High School.
