Marie A. Winistoerfer,96, of Villa Ridge, passed away on February 23, 2025. Mrs. Winistoerfer, daughter of the late Joseph Manhart and Christina nee Haberberger, was born on December 6, 1928, in Washington. She received her education from St. Joseph’s Neier School. On August 31, 1946, she was united in marriage to Louis “Joe” Winistoerfer in Labadie.
Marie enjoyed playing cards, cooking for family, gardening, and quilting at St. John’s Gildehaus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis “Joe” Winistoerfer; three children, Dennis Winistoerfer, Francis Roesner, and Mark Winistoerfer; siblings, Paul Manhart, Adolf Manhart, Mildred Jones, Barbara Lenze, and Albert Manhart; granddaughter, Ashley Winistoerfer; two daughter-in-laws, Nicole Winistoerfer and Kelly Winistoerfer, and sisters and brothers in-law, Betty Manhart, Alvina Manhart, Newt Jones, Henry Lenze, Eleanor Manhart, and Jack Reagan.
Among her survivors are her children, Judy Rieger of Villa Ridge, Kathy Berry and husband Jerry of Union, David Winistoerfer and wife Juanita of Villa Ridge, Richard “Ricky” Winistoerfer and wife Sandy of Gerald, Tina Winistoerfer of Washington, Robbie Winistoerfer and significant other Tracy Langendoerfer of Villa Ridge, Jody Oermann and husband Jeff of Oermann, MO, and Duane Roesner of Mt. Sterling, MO; siblings, Bernice Reagan of Villa Ridge and Charlie Manhart and wife Margie of Union; twenty three grandchildren, thirty nine great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Herman Roesner; loved ones and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. John’s Gildehaus Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. John’s Gildehaus Church.
