Marie I. Filla, 78 , of Washington, passed away on December 17, 2020. Marie, daughter of the late Victor Maune and his wife Iona NEE Jacquin, was born September 14, 1942 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On February 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to Harlan Filla at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Marie was employed at Hazel in the Research and Development Dept., until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Neil Maune.
Among her survivors are her husband, Harlan Filla of Washington; three children, Arline Wilson and husband James of Washington, Orville Filla and wife Darleen of Kansas City, MO, and Sherri Mundwiller and husband David of Washington; siblings, Ronald Maune, Patricia Rommelmann and husband David, Thomas Maune and wife Marilyn, Linda Overschmidt and husband Vernon, Stan Maune and wife Lynn, and Pamela Carter; nine grandchildren, Aaron Wilson, Jared Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Matthew Filla, Rebecca Frost, Jessica Kroll, Daniel Mundwiller, Joshua Mundwiller, and Andrew Mundwiller; four great-grandchildren, Griffin, Austin, Oliver,and Skylar; In-laws, Mary Lou Buchheit and husband Donald; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 5-8 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church, with interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church.
