Margaret L. Rothschild

Margaret L. Rothschild , 75 , of Washington, passed away on January 3, 2022. Mrs. Rothschild, daughter of the late Louis Schroeder and Alice nee Brehe, was born on November 18, 1946 in Washington. She received her education from Washington High School. In July of 1974, she was united in marriage to Charles Rothschild Sr. Marge was the former owner of Rothschild’s Family Restaurant in Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Rothschild Sr.; brother, Charles Schroeder and two brother-in-laws, Paul and Robert Rothschild.

Among her survivors are seven children, Julie Witte and husband Jason of Washington, Charles Rothschild Jr. of Berger, Kathie Zuroweste and husband Curt of New Haven, Mark Rothschild of Washington, Carol Brock and husband Bill of Beaufort, Ken Rothschild of New Haven, and Gary Rothschild of Beaufort; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; In-laws, Delores Gerdemann and husband Fred of Warrenton, Joan Rothschild of St. Louis, and Francis Rothschild and wife Gail of Washington State; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Grade School or Our Lady of Lourdes School.
