Marcella Sieve Obituary

Marcella M. Sieve,101, of Washington, passed away on April 3, 2026. Mrs. Sieve, daughter of the late Frank Schroeder and Elizabeth nee Buecker, was born on January 15, 1925, in Villa Ridge. She received her education from St. John’s Gildehaus School. On April 29, 1944, she was united in marriage to Anthony “A.W.” Sieve at St. John’s Gildehaus Church in Villa Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A.W. Sieve, son LeRoy Sieve, and siblings, Lucille Schroeder, Regina Voss, Eleanor Lause, Hubert Schroeder, Andrew Schroeder, Irvin Schroeder, and Eugene Schroeder.

Among her survivors are three daughters, Janet Braun and husband David of Washington, Judy Eichelberger of Washington, and Brenda Emann and husband Don of Washington; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lou Sieve; ten grandchildren, Elliott Emann and wife Anne, Vanessa Foster and husband Kristian, Tommie Eichelberger and wife Jennifer, Annette Larkins, Barbara Buescher and husband Don, Michael Braun and wife Maureen, Cheryl Buhr and husband Randy, John Braun and fiance Kim Schroeder, Michelle Sieve, and Chad Sieve and wife Cory; twenty one great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great-grandchildren, loved ones and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
