Lois M. Potochny

Lois M. Potochny, 87, of Washington, passed away on June 20, 2024. Lois, daughter of the late Charles Bailey and Marie nee Kirtz, was born on August 9, 1936 in St. Louis. She received her education from Washington University earning her Bachelors Degree. On December 29, 1956, she was united in marriage to Steve Potochny.

She was a teacher and librarian who loved to read. She also enjoyed the outdoors, going hiking and being with her dogs. Lois liked sports as well, especially the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Potochny and brother, Richard Bailey.

Among her survivors are three sons, Gary Potochny and wife Dawn of St. Louis, Thomas Potochny and wife Jacqueline of Riverside, CA, and Donald Potochny; three grandchildren, Mara, Ryan, and Truman; sister-in-law, Ruth Bailey of Webster Groves; nephew, Michael Bailey and three nieces, Sara Bailey, Laura Bailey, and Martha Bailey.

Funeral services will be private.
