Linda Evelyn Nolting, 80, of Washington, passed away on April 22, 2026. Mrs. Nolting, daughter of the late Bernice (Sanders) and Howard Ritschel and the late Kenneth Rice, was born on April 22, 1946, in Alton, MO. She was united in marriage to Charles Nolting on May 29, 1983.
Linda loved spending time with family, reading, crocheting and cross-stitching-creating hundreds of beautiful pieces of which she gave many away and frequently attending cross stitch retreats to better her skills. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of great joy, and she became a kid again when they were around. She attended many softball, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer games, dance recitals and band and choral concerts, always there whenever asked. She also loved the Muny, being a season ticket holder for many years and the movies going every week to see the latest releases. She loved to travel, often taking mystery bus trips without knowing where she was going but loving where she ended up. She also loved a good bunco game with her bunco group giving all their winnings to charity.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three bonus children, Mark, Dale, and Randy Nolting.
Among her survivors are her husband, Charles; two children, Kevin Hearn and wife Debbie of Moro, IL; Missy Frankenberg and husband Kevin of Washington, MO; four bonus children, Nancy McRoberts, Joan Trentmann, Eric Nolting, and Teri Moorman and husband Jeffrey; siblings, Carolyn Hammett and husband Bob, Annette Townsend, and Vaughn Ritschel and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Taylor Garcilaso and husband Eli, Sarah Beeson and husband Blake, Zachary Hearn and fiancé Amy, and Daniel Frankenberg and special friend, Ava Polizzi; bonus grandchildren, Noah Nolting and wife, Tabitha, Nick Nolting and wife Kari, Nate Nolting, Krystyn Trevino and husband Jordan, Isaac Nolting, Rodney Trentmann and wife Tonya, Kimberly Trentmann, Aaron Trentmann, Crystal Nolting, Erica Wood and husband Andrew , Brooklynn Jenkins and husband William , Austin Moorman and wife Desiree, Hunter, Chase, and Evan Moorman; many great-grandchildren, sister’s in law, nephews, nieces, and many cherished friends.
