Leona B. Noelker, 87, of Washington, passed away on December 19, 2024. Mrs. Noelker, daughter of the late Edward Hilke Sr. and Helena nee Hellmann, was born on February 24, 1937, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On August 20, 1955, she was united in marriage to David Noelker Sr. at the St. Francis Borgia Church.
She enjoyed quilting, reading books and especially the monthly luncheons with her group of girlfriends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Noelker Sr, and two siblings, Viola Pohl, Robert Hilke and brother-in-law Harold Pohl.
Among her survivors are four children, Barbara Steffens and husband Ronald of Union, David Noelker Jr. of Washington, Donna Feltmann and husband James Jr. of Washington, and Gary Noelker of Hazel, KY; brother, Edward Hilke Jr. and wife Bernice of Washington; five grandchildren, Todd Steffens and wife Lindsay of Lee's Summit, MO, Brent Steffens and fiance Kimberly Gale of Gilbert, AZ, Jamie Kluesner and significant other Brandon Henry of Overland Park, KS, Amber Noelker of Washington, and Curtis Noelker of Springfield, MO; two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Landon Noelker; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 9-10:30 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
