Laverne C. Weiskopf, 93 , of Washington, passed away on July 6, 2022. Laverne, daughter of the late Frank Thater and Thecla nee Lause, was born on March 24, 1929 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On September 26, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wayne Weiskopf at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Mrs. Weiskopf loved to quilt, sew, and bake. She really enjoyed being with her family, giving time to the church, and her St. Louis Cardinals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne Weiskopf and siblings, Pearl Obermark, Sally Diener, Viola Diener, Paula Weiskopf, Frank Thater Jr., Dolores Thater, Marvin Thater, and Marilyn Schmitt.
Among her survivors are two children, Pam Weiskopf of Washington and Steve Weiskopf and wife Megan of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Dustin Weiskopf, Paige Eckstein, Bixler Weiskopf, and Miles Weiskopf; many loved ones, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to OLL Church, OLL School, or Shriners Hospital.
