Larry Brinker Obituary

Larry S. Brinker,78, of Washington, passed away on August 23, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James. Larry, son of the late Steve Brinker and Viola nee Olten, was born on May 13, 1947, in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School. Larry served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. Larry was employed by D&H Trucking in Washington before retirement.

He was a fan of old black and white movies and had an eclectic taste in music, enjoying everything from country and classic rock to classical and the big band sounds of a bygone era. Larry especially cherished moments spent with his loyal dog, Duke, and could often be found sharing laughs with friends at Cori’s Twin Gables. His curiosity extended to collecting stamps, coins, and unique memorabilia, passions that reflected his appreciation for history and stories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Brinker and brother-in-law, Terry Horn.

Among his survivors are his sister, Sharon Horn of Washington; nieces and nephews, Brett Horn, Jason Horn and wife Michelle, Stacey Tesson and husband John, Briana Laune and husband Steve, Aaron Brinker and wife Erin, and Steven Brinker and significant other Alex; great-nieces and nephews, Jacob Horn, Jaxon Horn, Macie Horn, Jaden Horn, Jonathan Tesson, Kaylee Tesson, Mason Laune, Tessa Laune, Olivia Brinker, and Evelyn Brinker; other relatives and friends.
