LaVerne M. Maune

LaVerne M. Maune, 92, of Union, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, in Fenton.

Mrs. Maune, daughter of the late Lambert Feldmann and Adelaide (née Feltmann), was born on January 10, 1933, in Washington. On May 8, 1951, she was united in marriage to the late Norvin “Joe” Maune at St. Francis Borgia Church.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Cheryl Maune; daughter-in-law, Laura Maune; and six siblings: Evelyn Sieve, Ellen Maune, Mercedes Althen, Henry Feldmann, Lambert Feldmann and Richard Feldmann.

Among her survivors are her six children: Ernest Maune (Cher), of California; Jerene Thiemann (Alan), of Virginia; Kevin Maune (Jolyn) Villa Ridge; Ardis Maune, Union; Lori Maune, of California; and LaNor Maune, St. Louis; her brother, Edwin Feldmann (Dorothy), of California; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. She was cherished for her faith, indomitable spirit and love of family.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Washington, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Washington. A luncheon will be held afterward at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Washington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. John the Baptist Gildehaus Catholic Church in Villa Ridge for Masses, or to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
