Kenneth W. Pinnell Jr. ,59, of Washington, passed away on November 2, 2024. Mr. Pinnell, son of the late Kenneth Pinnell Sr. and Barbara nee Hawkins, was born on June 19, 1965, in Sullivan. He received his education from Bourbon High School. He attended ECC obtaining a degree in Drafting & Design.
Kenny was employed by Cochran Engineering for many years after getting his start with BFA, Inc. He was a certified scuba diver among other titles he accomplished. Kenny was a proud member of Downtown Washington, Inc., the Washington Jaycees, assistant for the Washington BB gun team for 30 years. Within these committees, Kenny was presented with many awards.
He loved to travel with Buddy and go to many professional sporting events including NASCAR and baseball. His favorite sport to follow was the St Louis Blues hockey. He passed down his passion for sports to his nieces and nephews by sometimes taking them along. Kenny enjoyed family gatherings. His favorite thing to do was be rowdy with the kids. Kenny was a kind, loving and caring brother, Uncle, friend, God Father, and mentor to many. He will deeply be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Angela Witt, and niece, Elizabeth Springer.
Among his survivors are his four siblings, Debbie Ransom and husband Paul of Leasburg, MO, Deanna Springer and husband J.C. of Springfield, MO, Tamara Parmentier and husband Jeff of Leasburg, MO, and Mark Pinnell of Leasburg, MO; brother-in-law, Eric Witt; God Daughter, Hermione Pruett; best friend, Buddy Payne and wife Michelle; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10-12 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be in the Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, MO. Memorial donations can be made to Downtown Washington Inc.
