Kenneth Juergens Obituary

Kenneth W. Juergens,75, of Washington, passed away on November 5, 2024. Mr. Juergens, son of the late Fred Juergens and Bonnie nee Westerman, was born on February 22, 1949, in St. Louis. He received his education from Fox High School. After graduating from Fox High School in 1967 he joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Hof, Germany on Security Policeman duty. Sgt. Juergens received an Honorable Discharge in Oct. 1973.

Mr. Juergens received an Associate Of Applied Science Degree from Jefferson College (Hillsboro, MO) in May 1973. He became a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Missouri in Feb.1983 and the State of Illinois in November 1987. He has been employed by several engineering companies throughout the years in Illinois and Missouri, the most recent being Design Nine in St. Louis, MO.

On January 3, 1992, he was united in marriage to Briana Willis in Las Vegas, NV. He was a member of the Washington Historical Society and a member of St. Peter's UCC where he served as an usher.

Mr. Juergens loved to play golf and pickle ball. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Among his survivors are his wife Briana Juergens of Washington; children, Tina Douglas of Washington, Michael Claus of Quincy, IL, Mark Claus and wife Dee Ann of Kearney, MO, and Daniel Claus and Lindsey Davis of Pittsfield, IL; brother, Jerry Juergens and wife Michele of De Soto; grandchildren, Miranda Douglas, Garrett Douglas, Josie Douglas, Willow Claus, and Scout Claus; loved ones and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s U.C.C. Cemetery in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the Power of Hope Equestrian Center in Steelville, MO.
