Kenneth W. Bierbaum ,93, of Washington, passed away on January 21, 2024. Mr. Bierbaum, son of the late Emmett Bierbaum and Ella nee Mittler, was born on April 8, 1930, in Marthasville. He received his education from Marthasville High School. On April 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Taylor.
Kenneth served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Kenny also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and traveling. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a member of the American Legion 218, Elks Lodge 1559, and the Masonic Lodge in Washington.
Mr. Bierbaum was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Bierbaum and wife Jan, and granddaughter, Nichole Stock.
Among his survivors are his wife, Mary Ann Bierbaum of Washington; two daughters, Sharon Boland and husband Craig of Ballwin and Judi Swinney of Washington; three grandsons; two great-grandsons; brothers and sisters-in-law, Imogene Hopper and husband Ron, Pat Stephens and husband Joe, and Kenneth Taylor and wife Catherine; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Washington. Interment, with full military honors will be at the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimers Association.
