Kathleen H. Buhr, 77, of Washington, passed away on August 9, 2025. Mrs. Buhr, daughter of the late George Jasper and Rosalie Piontek, was born on January 7, 1948, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School, graduating in 1966. On October 11, 1969, she was united in marriage to Roland “Toolie” Buhr at the St. Francis Borgia Church.
Her passion was being involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She loved the family vacations filled with laughter, stories, and making unforgettable memories. She was a proud and tireless supporter at every game, never missing a chance to cheer on her grandkids from the sidelines, always keeping her own stats. At home, she found pride in yardwork tending to her flowers and the lawn with care and purpose. She had a relentless energy when it came to taking care of things—whether it was making sure her hair was just right, keeping Dad’s “honey-do” list full, or ensuring everyone else was cared for before ever thinking of herself. She gave her love through action, and no one ever had to wonder how deeply she cared. She will be greatly missed.
Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. They simply mean we’ll miss you until we meet again.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie Jasper; grandson Davis Buhr and two sister-in-laws, Jeanette Sieve and Kathleen Rhoden.
Among her survivors are her husband, Toolie Buhr of Washington; two sons, Kirk Buhr and wife Susan of Rolla and Kevin Buhr and husband Tony Arnold of Des Peres, MO; sister, Karen Boston of Owensville; brother and sisters-in-law, Merald Buhr and wife Laverne of Washington and Doris Jasper of Washington; three grandchildren, Alec Buhr, Isaac Buhr, and Max Arnold-Buhr; loved ones and many friends.
