Kathleen A. Baker, 74, of Washington, passed away on April 25, 2024. Mrs. Baker, daughter of the late Theodore Noelke and Olivia nee Lamke, was born on September 4, 1949, in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On June 30, 1973, she was united in marriage to Donald Baker at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Kathy loved traveling, taking photos, baking and decorating cakes, crafting, fried chicken, ice cream, and more than anything her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Madge Baker; sister, Mary Jane Hilke and two brother-in-laws, Wilbert Hilke and Donald Calvin.
Among her survivors are her husband, Don Baker of Washington; three children, Julie Baker and partner Justin Martin of Champaign, IL, Teresa Moseley and husband Jason of Augusta, and Mark Baker and wife Nicole of New Haven; two siblings, Richard Noelke and wife Pat of Washington and Anna Rose Calvin of Washington; three grandchildren, Ella Moseley, Colten Baker, and Paislee Baker; In-laws, Charlotte Heimann and husband Norbert of Washington and George Baker and partner Leona Struckhoff of Dutzow; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 10am, at St. Francis Borgia Church, with luncheon immediately following in Jesuit Hall. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Francis Borgia Church.
