Karl J. Kluba, 79, of Washington, passed away on October 4, 2020, at his home. Karl, son of the late Alphonse Kluba and his wife Alma nee Witthaus, was born on November 16, 1940, in Washington. On November 27, 1971, Karl married his wife Constance nee Barnhart, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Union. Karl was a friend to many, and enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He worked many years at Ameren U.E. and retired as a lineman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Trevor J. Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Kluba of Washington; children, Angela Marie Harris of Villa Ridge, Daniel Dean Kluba of Washington, and Michael Eric Kluba of Washington; siblings, Wayne Kluba and wife Carol of Illinois, and Donald J. Kluba of Washington; grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Christopher, and Liam Kluba, Abigail Kluba, and Benjamin Finley; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 11:00 am at St. Gertrude’s Church. Interment, with full military honors will immediately follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church.
