Judith Dwyer Obituary

Judith Ann Dwyer,82, of Washington, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Feb 6th, 2026. Judith, daughter of the late Laurence Scott and Verna nee Kitchens, was born on August 8, 1943, in St. Louis.
 

Judy was a graduate of Soldan High School in St. Louis, where she met and married her first husband James F. Dwyer in 1964. She began a short career with Falstaff Brewing Company and had two children, Deana C. Dwyer and James Scott Dwyer. She then took a job with TWA and became director of reservations. Judy loved her job with the airlines and met many lifelong friends. She retired from there and was able to travel the world with her second husband William F. Jelin. Judy then took on a second career at the St. Louis Art Museum where she worked proudly for over 10 years. After finally retiring again in 2019, she was able to spend time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verna M. Kitchens and Laurence l. Scott; Husband, William F. Jelin; Brother, Michael Scott and daughter Deana C. Dwyer.

Among her survivors she will be missed by, son James Scott Dwyer; grandson, James Robert Dwyer; granddaughter Emily Lynn Daughetry; great grandson, James Mathew Smith-Dwyer; nephew Bill and Becky Martin and sister-in-law, Barbara Scott.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
