Juanita A. Lauchstaedt, 89, of Washington, passed away on June 16, 2023. Mrs. Lauchstaedt, daughter of the late Frank Kandlbinder and Margaret nee Busen, was born on March 19, 1934 in Washington. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia Grade School. On June 28, 1954, she was united in marriage to Hugo Lauchstaedt in Union.
Juanita loved to travel, especially going to Branson, MO. She also enjoyed boating, camping, playing bingo, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugo Lauchstaedt and siblings, Margaret Berliner, Freda Berg, Agnes Rott, Hilda Jaeger, Clarence Kandlbinder, Alfred Kandlbinder, Herbert Kandlbinder, Raymond, and Claire Kandlbinder.
Among her survivors are her children, Duane Lauchstaedt and wife Jeanne of Washington, Donna Jones and husband Larry of Union, and Jeannine Clark and husband Bob of Union; grandchildren, Joe Lauchstaedt and wife Beth, Terisa Hussman and husband John, Emily Hydar and husband Tim, Tammy Bonser and husband Robbie, Danette Jones, Melissa Elbert and husband Ted, Matt Jones and wife Sarah, Joshua Clark and Chloe, and Jessi Clark; seventeen great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the St. Francis Borgia Church. Interment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Francis Borgia Church or the American Heart Association.
