Jocelyn Manina “Nina” Spinali, 71, of St. Louis and Washington, MO passed away on July 27, 2024. Jocelyn, daughter of the late Theodore Barkey and Virginia Vorce, was born on September 26, 1952, in St. Louis. She received her education from Ritenour High School and University of Missouri - St. Louis.
Nina owned and managed several businesses over her career. She was into real estate, entrepreneurship, local dining, the constitution/patriotism, and reading. She genuinely wanted to help people who were under privileged get homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew, Brandon Barkey, and a niece Sarah Foth.
Among her survivors are her son, Anthony Spinali and wife Jill of Bridgeton; five siblings, Kathy Barkey of St. Louis, Barbara Horter of Union, E. Chris Barkey and longtime partner Marty Signaigo of Wildwood, Michael Barkey and wife Sharon of Washington, and Dr. Mark Barkey and wife Tammy of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three grandchildren, Gianna, Leo, and Eli Spinali; nieces and nephews, Nathan and Matthew Horter, Lauren, Anna, and Colleen Barkey, Julie Garland, and Becky Foth; other relatives and friends.
A special thanks to everyone at Cedarcrest, Grandview and Preferred Hospice who took care of her for many years
Private graveside services will be held at Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union.
