Joan M. Wetteroff

Joan M. Wetteroff , 84 , of Washington, passed away on March 14, 2023 in Washington. Mrs. Wetteroff, daughter of the late Seebert George Suerig and Virginia nee Noonan, was born on August 13, 1938 in St. Louis. On November 20, 1954, she was united in marriage to Gary Wetteroff Sr.

Mrs. Wetteroff enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, and riding motorcycles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Wetteroff Sr.; two sons, Gary Wetteroff Jr. and George Wetteroff and three brothers, James, Tom, and Robert Suerig.

Among her survivors are five children, Kathline Richardson and husband Ray of Washington, Maryann Overturf and husband Jeffrey of St. Louis, Elizabeth Hawks of St. Louis, Joann Bryant and husband William of Dixon, and Virginia Dailey of Dixon; two siblings, Deborah Bergmann of Edingberg, IL and Nancy Turner and husband Michael of Ellisville; grandchildren, Michael Gooch and fiance Jenny Laytham, Shannon Hinds, Joann Walker, Elijah Robinson, Steven Hawks, Joanie Larios, Linda Hawks, Drew Pollvogt, Becky Nelson, Donnie Pollvogt, Patrick Dailey, Christopher Dailey, Ashley Chittenden, Elizabeth Shankman, Kerry Hillborn, George Wetteroff Jr. and wife Erica, Leighanne Mills and husband Heath, and Cari Rapp and husband Drew; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law, Julie Ann Wetteroff; sister-in-law Adele Suerig; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Franklin County Animal Rescue.
