Joan L. Buescher,92, of Washington, passed away on June 8, 2024. Mrs. Buescher, daughter of the late Francis Engemann and Olivia nee Hellebusch, was born on January 4, 1932, in Marthasville. She received her education from St. Francis Borgia High School. On May 11, 1956, she was united in marriage to Romuald Buescher at St. Francis Borgia Church.
Joan and Romuald were so blessed to be a part of St. Gertrude’s Parish and loved all the friends along the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Romuald Buescher; siblings, Delphine Mades and husband Leslie, Florentine “Dodie” Wunderlich and husband Walter, Virgil Engemann and wife Helen, and Art Engemann and wife JoAnn.
Among her survivors are four children, Judi Ditch and husband Jerry of Augusta, John Buescher and wife Jennifer of Colorado Springs, CO, Thomas Buescher and significant other Mary Helfrich of Washington, and Kristin Buescher of Washington; siblings, Rose Marie Willenbrink of Augusta and Orville Engemann and wife Mayetta of Washington; two sister-in-laws, Janet Buescher of Montegut, LA and Susie Buescher of St. Louis; ten grandchildren, Jeremiah Ditch and fiance Laura Eckstein of Union, Molly Ditch and significant other Elliott Alsop of Labadie, Meghan Heeter and husband Mike of Augusta, Joshua Buescher and wife Jessica of Spokane, WA, Samuel Buescher and wife Jess of Colorado Springs, CO, David Buescher and wife Margo of Highlands Ranch, CO, Luke Buescher and wife Hannah of Gulu Uganda, Preston Cook of Springfield, MO, Taylor Kearbey of St. Peters, MO, and Makenzie Buescher and fiance Adam Bieber of St. Louis; seventeen great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrudes Church in Krakow. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Gertrudes Church.
