Jason Voelkerding Obituary

Jason V. Voelkerding, 44, of Washington, AKA Superman, passed away on November 23, 2024. Jason, son of Clyde Voelkerding Sr. and Catherine nee Garcia, was born on August 18, 1980, in Washington. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia, Washington High School, and East Central College.

Jason was a certified machinist, but held many careers, including hardwood, commercial food, tree trimmer, but the job he was most proud of was being a dad to Alex and Adam. No one can deny the love and pride he had for his boys. Additionally, we cannot forget that he gave the best beard trims and watched the best TV shows with his sons.

His family and friends knew this Superman for his quick wit, charmingness, and fireball attitude. Jason was known for his entertaining stories, always having the words to say-even if highly inappropriate and being the life of the party. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother, Gregory and brother-in-law, Todd Hoss.

Among his survivors are his parents, Clyde and Cathy Voelkerding of Washington; sons, Jason Alexander and Adam C., with his former wife Laura; siblings, Debi Vedder, Rich Olson, Clyde Voelkerding Jr., Kim Moorman, Diane Hoss, Jodi Brown, Crystal Hamann, Dustin Voelkerding, and Brandon Voelkerding; significant other, Danielle Manley; other relatives and friends.
